This video was produced in the context of the ‘UrbanLab’ workshop held from 15 to 19 November 2016, in Medellín, Colombia (https://www.facebook.com/LAIC-Latin-A...). The workshop was a collaborative space where artists, activists and cultural professionals organised in nodes representing 5 Latin American cities – Lima (Peru), Medellín (Colombia), San Salvador (El Salvador), Curitiba (Brazil) and Puebla (Mexico), developed interdisciplinary practices based on such themes as learning, resilience and sustainability, violence, mobility, and memory. Newton Goto, artist, Curitiba (Brazil) (https://newtongoto.wordpress.com/), is a member of the mobility node - coordinated by Bijari collective (http://www.bijari.com.br/). He reflected on his ‘UrbanLab’ experience by answering the following questions “How does your practice contribute to ‘UrbanLab’?” and “How does ‘UrbanLab’ contribute to your practice?” The workshop was part of the EU project “LAIC – Culture and arts supporting social cohesion in Latin American cities”, developed by Interarts (Spain) and BOZAR (Belgium).
